| American
Gymnastics Academy was founded in 1985. Shane and
Carol McIntire bought the gym in 1989. Since its
inception, AGA has been in four different buildings.
We have grown to almost 20,000 square feet, with three full
gyms to accommodate everyone from its youngest - one year
old gymnast - through its high ranking girl's team programs.
AGA is proud of its programs and its philosophy. We
teach and treat each gymnast as family. Our team members
all look out for each other, and spend more time together
than many families! They get together even when not at
gym, and are always in touch with each other.
AGA's staff
is second to none. Shane won the 1997, 1998 & 1999
male compulsory coach of the year! He is currently the
West Sectional representative on the Southern California
State Board. Carol won the 2000 level 8 Optional Coach
of the year award. For the 2004 year, Carol has been
elected to the position of State Chairmen for USAG/SC.
American Gymnastics Academy has helped girls receive college
